It’s Jeff and Julie here, back with another blog that recaps the 2025 Renegade Rally in Mesquite, Nevada!
The Rally in Numbers
What a busy five weeks for Renegade RV Owners in Mesquite, NV in March and April! The Renegade Rally was full of excitement, learning, and adventure! Here’s a quick look at what went down:
- 95 owners participated in Renegade Boot Camp sessions to learn all about their coaches and chassis
- 15 owners teamed up at the Renegade Automation & Modification Program (AMP) to purchase common upgrades and help each other with installations.
- 51 owners and off-road enthusiasts hit the trails together during the Renegade Jeepers Adventure—an unforgettable week of dirt, dust, and fun!
- 201 participants enjoyed the Renegade Rally-NV25, hosted at the stunning new Mesquite Trails RV Resort.
How Renegade Way at Mesquite Trails RV Resort Came to Be
Two years ago, fellow Renegader Rebecca Rodriguez was asked to scout out potential rally sites in the Las Vegas area. During her search, she discovered a brand-new resort nearby in Mesquite, Nevada. While chatting with the resort managers, Missy and Dave Schlotfeldt, Rebecca noticed that the planned street names were inspired by RV manufacturers. When she saw one of the names belonged to a brand that was no longer in business, she suggested renaming it “Renegade Way” instead. Missy loved the idea-and made it happen! Before we arrived, the resort owners—one of Mesquite’s founding families—repurposed a 1920s dairy barn pillar to hold the new Renegade Way street sign. It now stands proudly across from the office at site number 1, where every guest passes by on their way in.
Charity Success at NV25
Another standout success at the NV25 Rally was the impact of our Renegade Giving Back charity efforts. Giving back is part of every rally tradition—we come together to raise funds and gather donated items in support of meaningful charities.
At this rally, we were proud to support two incredible organizations:
- Sunshine Charity Foundation, which offers child development and family support services to low-income and underserved communities in Nevada.
- Anne’s Smiles Charitable Mission, which provides emergency shoes, clothing, hygiene items, backpacks, vision care, and more to students in crisis in the Ashville, OH area.
Anne’s Smiles holds a special place in the hearts of many, especially Renegader Kim Faler, who sadly passed away in the fall of 2024 after a courageous five-year battle with cancer. Her dedication to this mission lives on through her husband, Mike Faler, who now serves as the organization’s Director. This rally’s contributions stand as a heartfelt tribute to Kim, an incredible woman and cherished member of the Renegade family.
Thanks to the enthusiasm at our Crazy Bingo event and the outpouring of support through item donations, Renegaders showed remarkable generosity—raising $12,097 in cash and donating 463 requested items. This total more than doubled the amount raised at any of our previous rallies.
A Fond Farewell from Mesquite, NV
Renegaders clearly made a lasting impression in Mesquite! At our final dinner and farewell event, we were honored by the presence of some very special guests. Missy and Dave Schlotfeldt, Senior Hosts at Mesquite Trails RV Resort, welcomed Derek Hafen, the resort’s owner and a member of one of Mesquite’s founding families, along with Mesquite Mayor Jess Whipple. Mayor Whipple thanked us for visiting the town and let us know that we were warmly welcomed to come again anytime.Â
The rally in Mesquite, Nevada was truly unforgettable, and we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity for Renegade owners to come together.
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay in touch through the Renegade Motor Coach Owners’ Group on Facebook and by visiting www.RenegadeRVLife.com for ongoing support and camaraderie.
